Part of the solutions ASOLIF companies develop are community based solutions and some others are entirely developed by them. There is a strong interaction between our companies and most of the most important free software communities, for example, GNOME, KDE, Debian, Fedora, openSuSe, Centos, Xen, PosgreSQL, Plone, etc. As an example, ASOLIF and the Canary Island regional association (ESLIC) has been a key part of 2009 GUADEC and Akademy events, Gran Canaria Desktop Summit

ASOLIF main objectives are:

  1. To defend our sector and expand the use and development of free software in Spain for business purposes.
  2. To increase the interactions between our free software companies by promoting collaborations through projects. The idea is interacting as companies in the same way the technicians do in software libre communities.
  3. To give the services that ASOLIF (small and very technical oriented) companies need.
